Recent Publications by Foundation Alumni

“Restricting State Part C Eligibility Policy Is Associated With Lower Early Intervention Utilization,” by McManus BM, Magnusson D, and Rosenberg S, was published in The Maternal and Child Health Journal (2014;18:1031–1037). Beth M. McManus, PT, ScD, was awarded a Mary McMillan Doctoral Scholarship in 2004, a Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) I Scholarship in 2005, a PODS II Scholarship in 2008, and a New Investigator Fellowship Training Initiative (NIFTI) in 2013. Dawn Magnusson, PT, MPT, PhD, was awarded a PODS II Scholarship in 2013. The contributions of McManus and Magnusson to this research were supported in part by the Foundation.

“Role of Body-Worn Movement Monitor Technology for Balance and Gait Rehabilitation,” by Horak F, King L, and Mancini M, was published in the March 2015 issue of Physical Therapy (2015;95:461–470). Fay Horak, PT, PhD, was awarded a Doctoral Training Research Grant (DTRG) in 1989. Laurie King, PT, PhD, was awarded a Clagett Family Research Grant in 2011.

“Investigating the Validity of the Environmental Framework Underlying the Original and Modified Dynamic Gait Index,” by Shumway-Cook A, Matsuda PN, and Taylor C, was published online in Physical Therapy on December 18, 2014. Anne Shumway-Cook, PT, PhD, FAPTA, was awarded DTRGs in 1980, 1995, and 1996.
