Everyone wants to get better health and better care at a lower cost. Research shows that interprofessional care is more cost-effective. At the 2014 Rothstein Roundable at NEXT 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina, on June 13, 2014, a panel of experts debated which models of interprofessional care could be adapted to physical therapist practice. They also discussed the barriers to implementing interprofessional care in rehabilitation. The Rothstein Roundable is named in honor of Physical Therapy (PTJ) Editor-in-Chief Emeritus Jules Rothstein, PT, PhD, FAPTA, who believed passionately in the importance of scholarly dialogue and debate.
